We're writing this from a hotel in Florida. We left Manaus late this morning for the 4 1/2 hour flight to Miami. We'll be heading home on an afternoon flight tomorrow. Since there aren't many flights out of Manaus, we couldn't get all the way home in one day.
We both agree that this was a fantastic trip from beginning to end. Heather asked what we liked the best, and it is just so hard to say. We had unbelievable experiences and met wonderful people. We visitied places we never dreamed we'd get to. A couple of days ago we were out on the deck and we said to each other, "Can you believe we're floating down the Amazon River??!!"
Now we are really looking forward to seeing our family again, (especially the grandkids!) just in time to celebrate Christmas!
