It feels like we have been on the go for a week. We left our home on Saturday 2/16 at 1:30PM. We left for Zurich Switzerland at 7:30PM and arrived in Zurich at 3:30PM Sunday afternoon after an 11 hour plane ride. The weather was cold and we were glad to get to our hotel which was conveniently located right in the airport. We took a short train ride to downtown Zurich to look around and get some dinner. Lucky for us they were celebrating carnival and we got a few photos of the celebrants.

Monday morning we were up early to catch a flight to Nairobi, Kenya. The flight left at 9:30AM and arrived in Nairobi at 7:15PM . A short 7 hour flight and a two hour time change. Now were are 11 hours ahead of the west coast and our body clocks are really messed up! Thanks goodness our hotel was a short drive from the airport.
The sign that greeted us at the airport.
We got up early Tuesday morning and left our hotel for our first stop, the Rothschild’s Giraffe center where Cindy got up close and personal with the Giraffes.
and I got to see Pumba.
Our next stop was at Karen Blixen’s home and museum. She is the author of the book Out of Africa. Her home was used in the making of the movie Out of Africa.
Our final stop after a 3.5 hour van ride was the Serena Mountain Lodge which sits on the edge of a watering hole in Mt Kenya National Park. We were greeted with views of several animals which included a few very curious monkeys on the ledge outside our window.
We hope to see a lot more animals this evening.

The kids and I were so excited to see your post! What a loooong journey! We think that the warthog in the water buffalo photo looks like Chester lying there. How is the weather in Kenya?
Looks like fun!
I'm jealous already!
This is so exciting!! Can't wait to show the kids when I get home.
"we love you. We like to go to your house."
