Ship? What Ship? Do You See a Ship?

Well, here we sit with our butts dragging and trying to stay awake. So our first entry will be short and to the point. After a long, long flight from San Francisco starting at 12:05PM Sunday to Santiago, Chile via Miami we arrived in Santiago at 7:30 Monday morning. The original plan was to be bussed to the port at Valparaiso which is an hour and a half from Santiago. There we were to board our ship and leave for our 18-day cruise. As they say s__t happens. Over the weekend, there was a strong storm that caused the ship, which was on its way from Buenos Aires, to detour off course on the way around the southern tip of South America delaying its arrival and our departure by 24 hours.

So here we are on Tuesday on our cruise heading north in the Pacific Ocean with 2 relaxing days at sea ahead of us. They had to eliminate our second port of call in Chile to put us back on schedule. We have some great photos and stories to tell which we will post tomorrow after a good night's sleep. Tune in tomorrow for the full story!

Oh I was so worried when I saw the title that the ship had still not arrived! Can't wait to see the photos and hear the stories. You poor things must be SOOO exhausted. I mean, a long flight to an 18 day vacation. Horrible! It's almost like you are getting up every three hours at night with a newborn! :) Check out our blog when you get a chance, there is a sneak peek of a couple of photos from Olive's photo shoot. We head to her two week appointment today, can't wait to hear the stats!

PS - Nikos' new words. DoubleDoo ("W"), bump (hit his forehead at daycare and got a bruise) and Top of the Tuttle (sitting on the Top of the Turtle at the park.
