We boarded the Carnival Paradise yesterday afternoon and discovered that our cabin wasn’t ready yet, so we decided to try the “Welcome Aboard Drink Special” and relax on deck. Bill thought it was so tasty he tried to drink mine too.
Today when we got up, the ship had already anchored just off Catalina Island. We’d travelled all of 26 miles to get here! After breakfast, we took a short tender ride over to the island.
then retraced our walk over to the site of the wedding, Descanso Beach.
The weather was sunny and mild, very pleasant, and we continued to wander around for awhile before heading back to the ship.
To cap off our day, we watched a whole bunch of dolphins swimming about 100 yards from the ship. We’ll be looking for more as we cruise down into Ensenada tomorrow.
