This morning (4/9) we arrived in Nha Trang, Vietnam and as Robin Williams said in the movie “Good Morning Vietnam” it was hot - damn hot! Nha Trang is a beach community which relies on fishing and tourism. This was a popular R&R sport for U.S. Military during the Vietnam war.
We rode through the calm and quiet city streets on our first stop of the tour. I’m glad I was a passenger and not the driver!
Our first stop was at the Long Son Pagoda (temple) and the white Buddha.
We arrived early and the Buddha wasn’t up Later in the morning he was on duty.
The beach area looked quite inviting, so we took a quick detour to get a few photos.
Cindy had to get a bag of sand for her collection and of course check the temperature of the water (warm & tempting).
We had time for a short lunch and some afternoon entertainment.
We then stopped for a short prayer for a safe journey back to our ship.
We did have time to stop and have some snake wine, donuts and grubs before getting back to the ship.
