Shanghai: Once Known as The Wildest City on Earth

Shanghai is the largest city in China with a population between 22 and 25 million.  It is compared to Tokyo or Mexico City as one of the most populated in the world.

View of the city and the Hunangpu river (gateway to the Yangtze river) from China’s 2nd highest building (4th highest in the world) - seen below.

Here is more of the skyline of the world’s wildest city. I really think places like Omaha have passed Shanghai for wild cities (you know how crazy they get in Omaha Smile )!

They have a fantastic museum in Shanghai which contains ancient Chinese art as seen below.

Whoops! Had did that last photo get in there? There was a big crowd near the sign; I just thought it must have been important!

After the museum we headed for old town Shanghai.  This is a small section of the city that has been left alone so you can see what Shanghai was like in the past.

We traveled through the old section of the city to see a typical Southern China garden.

The traditional garden must contain water, rocks, plants and buildings as seen above.

And we end with a traditional Chinese sign remember to have a good day and make a face of yourself! (Whatever that means!)
