The plan: take the extended family to Yellowstone for a week of sightseeing. So 14 people left for West Yellowstone Montana, nine by car on the 4th of October and five by air on October 5th.

Our first stop for the nine driving was Elko NV. As you can see the weather was nice and warm.

The next morning the weather looked threatening and the temperature was dropping.
Yep you guessed it. Into the mountains and into snow.

Once we got through the mountains the sun came back out and the snow stopped.
We arrived in West Yellowstone just before the Mets Giants playoff game started.

The five flying didn't arrive until after the game was over. They had a snowy drive from Bozeman to the small cabin we rented (photo above). The cabin sleeps 18 with 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Tomorrow we will head into Yellowstone Park for the first time.
