Our last three days in Quebec we were hampered by the remains of the tropical storm Nicole and rain on and off each day. We still got out and saw quite a bit of the area.
Oh yes the leaves are beginning to change and we are getting to see them. This was one thing we both wanted to see again.
We took a tour of the Montmorency falls located about 15 miles from Quebec.
The falls are 100 feet higher than Niagara Falls and they have a suspension bridge that goes right over the top of the falls.
We took a tour of the Chateau Frontenac (hotel) and Cindy thought this was the best part, petting the dog that the hotel had available to help lead the blind guests. The dog has since retired and spends her time lounging in the hotel lobby.
Quebec is getting all geared up for Halloween.
When we woke up yesterday morning, the sun was shining for our 3-hour drive from Quebec City to Montreal. We were oohing and aahing at the heavily wooded mountains showing fall color all along the way.
We turned in the rental car with the plan to use public transportation to get around Montreal, much easier than driving! We are both enjoying the crisp autumn weather here --- perfect for sightseeing!
