Why, eat of course, and there are plenty of good eats on this island. Our first stop was to a restaurant called Mala (recommended by Heather and Taki)
Doesn’t look like much but what a great meal. It started with a great table with a fantastic view.
The water was so close several times we got splashed by the waves.
The food was great. We started with flat bread layered with lamb sausage and tomato sauce.
And on to our main course: two types of fish on two types of potatoes, garnished with cilantro pesto sauce, topped with salsa and surrounded with flat bread. Oh yea was it tasty! We ended the meal with their signature dessert, Caramel Miranda.
Six kinds of fresh fruit with a dip of vanilla ice cream, all floating in a caramel sauce with dark chocolate!
That was just lunch. We moved on to dinner and a BBQ with the crew from Papakea.
We started with Mai tais around the pool. Had to get in the right frame of mind to BBQ.
The work was tough, the three chefs were sober and the meal was fantastic.
That, my friends, is how you spend a rainy day in Paradise.
