We arrived at our hotel in Quito at 4:30 Tuesday morning. Was it a long trip you ask:

Oh I guess you are wondering about the above photos. This is a section of downtown Quito that has restaurants, night clubs, and shopping. This is the area we had dinner tonight. Before I get into that let me tell you what we did today after our 5 hour cat nap. We took a three hour hop on hop off bus tour of Quito.
And I’m still awake to write about it. After our bus tour we got a recommendation from the hotel concierge on a place to have dinner. They gave us directions to the Foch marketplace area and recommended a restaurant. We went native and had all Ecuadorian dishes.
No, not the Guinea pig but other great dishes.
Humita (cornmeal & cheese wrapped in a corn husk), potato soup, pisco sours, and for dessert, pastry with a melted honey sauce (I think). It was all very good.
Tomorrow our tour starts and we are off and running!
