Good Bye Romios Family (except one stowaway!)

Sad to say, Heather, Taki, Nikos and Olive had to leave yesterday. We made lots of wonderful memories while they were here, most of them --- not surprisingly --- involving water. We all enjoyed watching the sea turtles from the path right behind our building at the timeshare.

Nikos and Olive frolicked on Poipu Beach

While Heather and I stayed with the kids in the calm shallow water, Bill and Tyke went snorkeling. They weren’t in the water long when Heather noticed Bill waving his arms at us to get our attention. There was a turtle right next to Taki! He got some great underwater photos of the turtle, which was close enough to the shore that we could all see it from the beach. It was very exciting!

Besides the beaches at Poipu and Lydgate Park, lots of time was spent in the timeshare pool and hot tub.

Yesterday morning Heather found out there was fish food available in the lobby to feed the koi in the ponds (the same area that the kids fished for the talapia earlier in the week). It was the perfect way to keep Nikos and Olive occupied while Taki and Heather loaded up the rental car for their trip to the airport. They looked so cute holding hands as they walked up to the lobby to get the fish food.

When the koi were fed, it was time for them to head to the airport. Not long after they left, I heard a ruckus in the closet of their bedroom and to my surprise, there was Scabie Baby hiding next to the luggage rack! She  had apparently snuck away from Olive while the luggage was being packed.

She later donned a lei and made herself comfortable in the living room to watch a little TV.

Let’s hope she doesn’t get homesick (and that Olive doesn’t miss her too much) until next week when we can take her home.

Looks like you all had a great time! In the picture of the Romios Family in the timeshre pool I think that Olive really looks like Heather when she was that age! Glad that you guys are having nice weather and a great time! We are trying to stay dry!! Last week Irene and now I guess the effects from Lee (whatever it is, it is a lot of rain!!) Enjoy the rest of your stay and have a safe trip home!!
