Visitors from California

Friday evening we drove into Denver and picked up Heather, Nikos and Olive at the Denver airport. We had plenty of things scheduled to do with them for the four days they were with us. We started out with:

You guessed it, a weenie roast at the timeshare.

After a swim in the timeshare pool, a walk in downtown Breckenridge, and several games of Uno that took care of our Saturday.

Sunday we all went whitewater rafting on the Colorado river. It was a six mile journey through #2's and 3's class rapids. We all managed to stay in the boat as we floated down the river. We stopped at a section where you could climb the rock wall and jump into the river. Nikos scampered up a six foot rock wall and jumped into the river. He did that fantastic feat twice! The trip took several hours. We won't have photos until next week (which I will post).

Monday we rented bikes and went on a 12 mile bike hike on a trail that goes from Breckenridge to Frisco. That was a two hour trip with plenty of stops to rest and replenish our fluids.

One of our stops on the bike trail.

Here we are with three more miles to go.

Tuesday, our last day together, we planned a ride up the gondola.

A five mile hike

Time for a rest on the trail.

Time for a snack break.

Time for some family photos

One last photo op at the continental divide

Then a drive to the Denver airport. That gives us two days to recover before we head back to California!
