Good Bye, Grand Princess

It seems as if our vacation has flown by! We saw so many new places and met so many nice people. It has been a wonderful trip.

The past two days have been at sea, and we’ve been enjoying the ship. As Bill mentioned in an earlier post, I took some computer classes as part of Princess’ ScholarShip at Sea program. Most were for Photoshop Elements, and today I learned Windows Movie Maker. I’m determined to get our photos edited and organized in a way that we can easily share and store them. Since Flat John works with Photoshop at home, he joined me in the computer lab for some of the classes.

The very knowledgeable and friendly instructor, Jeana, made the classes fun. I couldn’t wait to practice on the skills I learned after each class. Here’s an example that I’m very happy with. I removed the people from in front of Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid statue in a photo I took earlier this month.

While I was attending Jeana’s classes, Bill walked laps around the deck and went to history lectures in the theater.

Tomorrow morning we’ll be getting off the ship in Southampton, then heading to London for the next 2 nights. We have tickets for Billy Elliott at a theater in the West End tomorrow night, then on Sunday we’re planning on taking the Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing Bus around London. We saw a weather report that said Hurricane Bill (of all names!) may bring stormy weather to England this weekend. This might be a more memorable visit to London than we expected!

You'll have to teach us how to take people out of the pictures.

I agree with Ray, you will have to give us classes on how to edit photos!! Great job! Hope you have an easy, safe trip home!!
