(Wednesday) Ah! A restful sea day and a formal dinner before our last day of touring.
We were up early on Thursday and on are way touring again. This time we put our faith in Princess to show us the sights of Oslo, Norway. Of course Norway is known for being the land of Trolls. The flat ones heard that and they were on a mission to find one and sure enough they found one and invited him back to the ship.
Trolls are short people with big noses and wild hair (the one in the middle).
Our tour took us on a sightseeing tour through the center of Oslo. We saw the Town hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented each year. All the other Nobel awards are presented in Stockholm, Sweden.
We also went to the Frogner Park. This park holds the lifetime work of sculptor Gustav Vigeland. His sculptures are of people in granite and bronze, all nudes and open to your own interpretation. So I took the liberty of interpreting some of his art works for you.

Next we were off to the Norwegian Folk Museum. This is an outdoor museum that holds over 150 buildings brought from all corners of Norway. These buildings date from 1000’s to the 1800’s.
This is the oldest building in the park, a house from 1050.
Church built in the 1200’s.
One-room schoolhouse built in the 1800’s.
We got back to the ship in time for a great lunch and we sat on the upper deck as we cruised down the Fjord heading for Copenhagen.
