Amazing Views and Various Animals

Today the sunshine returned --- YAY!!! We had no trouble finding the starting point for today's segment, which began in the center of Painswick.

We climbed many hills and were rewarded with gorgeous views.

In that last photo, those white dots are sheep! We saw other animals as well: cows, horses,

and, for the first time, deer.

All along the trail, we've experienced a variety of pathways. Today's included narrow alleys,

foliage-covered tunnels,

and scenic bridges.

A homeowner with a sense of humor placed a child-sized doll in the door of his barn's hay loft to cheer the weary hikers passing by.

Speaking of weary hikers, poor Bill was dismayed to see we've walked 47 miles from the beginning of the trail --- not even half way!

We made it to our B&B in time for afternoon tea, which we enjoyed out on the patio and were treated to another fantastic view.

I'll end this post with a final photo especially for our grandchildren, the pet rabbit that our hosts keep in the backyard.
