Today we were a little disappointed to wake up to rain, since the weather report called for clearing skies overnight. We were headed down the coast to see the Cliffs of Moher and planned to include a sightseeing cruise to give us another perspective of this dramatic section of coastline. (Fellow tourists at one of our B&Bs recommended it.)
When we arrived at the Visitors Center, we asked what our chances were of seeing the cliffs, and were told "0%", but that didn't discourage us.
As you can see below, the cliffs weren't totally obscured.
From there, we had a couple hours' drive to Tralee, where we'd be spending the night. One of the towns we drove through had rows of thatched-roof buildings along both sides of the street. Really quaint!
By the time we reached tonight's lodging, Ballyseede Castle, we had intermittent sunshine. As we approached the door to check in, we were greeted by the castle dog, who stayed right where he was as we stepped over him!
We found our room, then took the opportunity to explore our surroundings.
Not to shabby!
