Conquering the big 15 (miles that is)

We started out the day looking out our bedroom window to the sight below

You can see the morning was quite foggy but the sun was fighting to get out. The view was still fantastic.

Once out the gate and on our way we ran into a long lost trade in the United States.

You guessed it, a milkman delivering milk to the homes.

Cindy had to get a photo with the milkman, then she proceeded to tell him the story about when she was growing up. On cold winter days the milkman would come into their house early in the morning when everyone was asleep and put the milk into their refrigerator so it wouldn't freeze. Can you see that happening today!

Today was the day of our longest trek, fifteen miles. We left an hour earlier than the past days.

Only the locals pictured below were out to greet us.

Looking at this guy, I don't think he had his morning coffee yet and we were not invited guests. Needless to say we didn't stay in that field long.

We started out right away hiking almost straight up out of the valley. We got out of the fog by getting above it.

It's also the area where the more adventurous English men and women hang out.

Our path today found us near many hazards and steep climbs, as seen below.

We shared the trail with horseback riders.

We made it to our B&B just in time for afternoon tea!
