On The Road Again (That's Railroad)

We got up this morning and headed to the nearest rail station to pick up our tickets for the trip to Moreton-in-Marsh. Our first set of tickets we ordered before we left home never made it to our hotel!

Our tour director points out the stop where we have to change trains.

The trains are great, on time and very comfortable. The only thing that is hard to get use to is the high speed trains that fly by a few feet away from the station platform. I asked one of the rail employees how fast they go. He said they travel about 125mph and slow to 90mph through the station. Standing on the platform it feels like they are passing you at 200mph.

Our tour director took this photo to show that we made it to Moreton-in-Marsh (she even found the toilets for me)! When we got out of the station she had a taxi waiting to take us on our final leg of today's journey. We ended in the town of Chipping Campden. This is where we start our hike Saturday on the Cotswold Way. Only 102 miles to go!
