For our 10+ mile walk today from Charlton Kings to Birdlip (love the names!) the weather forecast was "changeable" -- not very helpful! Basically, the rain changed from heavy to light to medium to misty -- you get the picture. We had several sections through woods, which gave us at least partial cover.
We even had a brief glimpse of sunshine when we could enjoy the view.
Here are a few other shots taken when it wasn't raining. The wooded pathways today were some of our favorites so far.
We thought this tree tunnel looked mysterious as we approached. It was really dark! (I am pointing to the Cotswold Way marker just to verify that we're going the right way.)
Just off the trail, someone set up a refreshment stand in an old bus. It looked like it was busy, but we didn't stop. They had ice cream, and I was surprised Bill didn't want to have some!
I must admit, walking in the rain is NOT fun, but this is England after all.
